About the brand
De La Beauté
We create professional skincare in which the power of plants meets a contemporary approach to formula development.
At the heart of our products are plant macerates, natural extracts and carefully selected Canadian raw materials. For us it is not enough to add a pretty botanical ingredient to a formula — we extract from the plant exactly the components the skin needs.
Working with macerates is a far more complex and lengthy path than using ready-made standardized cosmetic components.
It requires careful selection of raw materials, the right extraction medium, time, control of proportions and a clear understanding of which substances from a given plant we want to carry into the future formula.
But we choose this path deliberately.
Because for us the efficacy of a formula matters more than the simplicity of production.
By creating our own plant macerates, we can control the quality of the raw material, the combination of plants and the principle of their extraction. That gives us far more freedom when building complex, targeted formulas and lets us use the plant not as a marketing extra, but as a fully functional part of the product.
We do not aim to assemble cosmetics exclusively from ready-made solutions.
We build the formula around the skin’s task.
If that requires a more complex process — we choose the more complex process.
Even actives usually associated with classic laboratory cosmetics we, wherever possible, seek to obtain from natural sources.
For example, in products for blemish-prone skin we use willow bark extract — a natural source of salicylates.
For us the origin of every component matters, as do its quality, concentration and how it works together with the other ingredients.
That is why our formulas may combine macerates, botanical extracts and contemporary cosmetic actives — not for the sake of a long ingredient list, but for their considered joint work.
A more complex path. A more conscious formula.
Mass production often demands the simplest, most universal and easily reproducible solutions.
We chose another approach.
We are ready to make production more complex if that allows a more considered and functional formula.
From the plant and Canadian raw materials — to a finished professional product.
Even actives usually associated with laboratory cosmetics we seek to obtain from natural sources. For example, in formulas for blemish-prone skin we use willow bark extract — a natural source of salicylates.
